Question of Liberties

BERLIN - German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is using his trip to North Africa to promote the new "counter-terrorism cooperation" with the Arab world. His visits to Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria will focus not only on expanding economic cooperation, but particularly on the common struggle "against terrorism and extremism," according to the foreign ministry.

After her talks with the Arab League's Secretary General, Nabil al-Arabi, the European Union's foreign policy coordinator, Federica Mogherini had already announced relevant projects including intensified intelligence sharing. New "security attachés" will be working out of EU foreign missions in some of the Arab countries, while keeping contact to their respective intelligence services. Experts are demanding that intelligence cooperation be intensified, also within the EU.

The struggle is aimed at the Jihadists, who had achieved their breakthrough, due to the rearmament by the West and its Middle Eastern allies waging wars against the governments of Libya and Syria. The "counter-terrorism cooperation" will strengthen the authoritarian structures, against which large sectors of the populations of several Arab countries had been so massively revolting in 2010 and 2011.

Did German Companies Aid Syrian Chemical Weapons Program?

Government documents and information from the Assad regime indicate that German companies may have helped Syria produce chemical weapons over the course of decades. So far, the Merkel administration has shown no willingness to investigate.

From Der Spiegel, February 24th, 2015

When it comes to war crimes and crimes against humanity, the German government is unyielding -- particularly when it comes to finding excuses for why it should do nothing when it comes to potential German perpetrators.

For more than 16 months, Chancellor Angela Merkel's government has been in possession of a list containing the names of German companies thought to have helped Syrian dictator Bashar Assad and his father Hafis build up Syria's chemical weapons arsenal over the course of several decades. Ultimately, it became one of the largest such arsenals in the world.

The German government, a coalition between Merkel's conservatives and Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel's center-left Social Democrats (SPD), received the list from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). The OPCW was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2013 for its "extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons." Together with experts from the United Nations, the OPCW organized and carried out the destruction of Syrian chemical weapons last year.

God's Unilateral Covenants

1. God spoke Hebrew.
2. He made 4 eternal and unchangeable promises.

The Church does play a big part in these 'later days' but Jesus is not going to abandon Israel, there is always a remnant. I am not Jewish...yet s'pppose here.

I am of the Bride of Christ. All of you can be as well.  And you must be before the first judgement. That is the BEMA seat, Christians are judged for performance. The second, is the Great White Judgement, no Book of Life there. No arbitration. My friends, the last place you ever want to go.

You disappointed, shot-up, and abandoned. As they ask me, their breath, is not yours, someday in time, we'll get a 'good parking spot'. God Bless.

Lord of War is not that Far Off

I need more than a map now.

People growing like carrots out of the ground, well tunnels. They are so angry with each other. Hamas in a Hole. Sometimes I wonder if those US greeds just want a venue to show off or maybe just practice new gear.

Hoop-Up-Slinging- Don't Give a shit, Shoot this at 'em with this 'technological guaranteed  weapon', and win for today. And the damage is 'offensive, cruel and malodorous.' bring in the fork-lifter. That's for the 'supposed' opponents. Our guys still bleed in DVA hospitals. I promise you, I'll not go THERE, and God willing, I can keep my boys out of there too.

The Apostle Paul made it clear in Colossians. 'He made a triumph openly'. Before the Roman tribune got his baton, he showed to them to the people and Caesar in a triumph. He would drag that leader in front of the people, then remove his thumbs and big toes, that King could never pick up a spear, or run  against them.

Yes, we are faced with a huge horror. Europe is in a HUGE struggle, we are going to be obliged. Mind Obama won't send anything to the Arabs other than 19.2 BILLION this afternoon. Like they need the money. Schools, hospitals, housing...but I can consider justice. Veritas Aequitas.

The Cyrus Cylinder

The Cyrus Cylinder (Persian: منشور کوروش‎) is an ancient clay cylinder, now broken into several fragments, on which is written a declaration in Akkadian cuneiform script[3] in the name of the Persia's Achaemenid king Cyrus the Great.[4] It dates from the 6th century BC and was discovered in the ruins of Babylon in Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) in 1879.[3] It is currently in the possession of the British Museum, which sponsored the expedition that discovered the cylinder. It was created and used as a foundation deposit following the Persian conquest of Babylon in 539 BC, when the Neo-Babylonian Empire was invaded by Cyrus and incorporated into his Persian Empire.

The text on the Cylinder praises Cyrus, sets out his genealogy and portrays him as a king from a line of kings. The Babylonian king Nabonidus, who was defeated and deposed by Cyrus, is denounced as an impious oppressor of the people of Babylonia and his low-born origins are implicitly contrasted to Cyrus's kingly heritage. He was the recipient of the 'writing on the wall'.

The prophet Daniel was in court at that time. Nabonidas was on a war footing having no time for 'regal' tasks, Nabonidas, one son was to deal with court. However, Nebuchadnezzar knew what power was, chose elsewhere.

The victorious Cyrus is portrayed as having been chosen by God to restore peace and order to the Babylonians. The text states that Cyrus was welcomed by the people of Babylon as their new ruler and entered the city in peace. It appeals to Marduk to protect and help Cyrus and his son Cambyses. It extols Cyrus as a benefactor of the citizens of Babylonia who improved their lives, repatriated displaced people and restored temples and cult sanctuaries across Mesopotamia and elsewhere in the region. It concludes with a description of how Cyrus repaired the city wall of Babylon and found a similar inscription placed there by an earlier king.

The Cylinder's text has traditionally been seen by biblical scholars as corroborative evidence of Cyrus' policy of the repatriation of the Jewish people following their Babylonian captivity(an act that the Book of Ezra attributes to Cyrus), as the text refers to the restoration of cult sanctuaries and repatriation of deported peoples. This interpretation has always been disputed, as the text identifies only Mesopotamian sanctuaries, and makes no mention of Jews, Jerusalem, or Judea.

The Cylinder has also been called the oldest known charter or symbol of universal human rights, a view rejected by others as anachronistic and a misunderstanding of the Cylinder's generic nature as a typical statement made by a new monarch at the beginning of his reign.

Solar Impulse Reveals Round-The-World Route

Avionics Today [01-23-2015] Solar Impulse has announced the route for the around-the-world solar flight of its sun-powered Solar Impulse 2 (Si2) aircraft, to take place in the coming months. Si2 will take-off from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirate, in late February or early March and return by late July or early August 2015. The route includes stops in Muscat, Oman; Ahmedabad and Varanasi, India; Mandalay, Myanmar; and Chongqing and Nanjing, China. After crossing the Pacific Ocean via Hawaii, Si2 will fly across the continental U.S., stopping in three locations: Phoenix, New York City at JFK airport and a location in the Midwest to be determined by weather conditions at the time of the flight. After crossing the Atlantic, the final legs include a stop-over in Southern Europe or North Africa before arriving back in Abu Dhabi. The aircraft, which flies entirely on solar energy and without the use of jet fuel, has proved its capability in previous trials, becoming the first solar plane to fly through the night, between two continents and across the United States.
